The theme of this issue of Global is (broadly!) Life in Lockdown. All three NLCS Schools have had to close at some point during the coronavirus pandemic, but it has affected us all in different ways. Not only have we had to adapt to the virtual world in all aspects of life, but the good that has come out of lockdown has been rich and varied across the schools. From Dubai, where Sixth Formers have made the Nicholson Lecture tradition virtually their own, to Jeju, where students have investigated the effects of lockdown on the environment, to London, where students have examined small acts of kindness that have been overlooked by the media during the Black Lives Matter protests.

We have all thoroughly enjoyed working on this issue - hearing about the variety of activities that the NLCS community gets up to inside and outside school, getting to know the Global teams around the world, and navigating a series of new technologies!

We are thrilled to invite NLCS Singapore on board next year into our NLCS Global Magazine family. We are excited to see what is to come, and meet our new teammates, and hope that this new addition to our magazine will provide a fresh perspective on the events that are shaping our world; helping us become a lot more global!
